THE VILLA
The Castle has been the residence of many illustrious Florentine families throughout the centuries, such as the Scolari, the family of the famous general Pippo Spano, and the Pitti, before becoming the property of the Medici family.
By the mid-1500s, the current main building of Tizzano was rebuilt and expanded on the ruins of the ancient Castle. In 1585, it was donated by the Grand Duke Francesco de Medici to the well-known sculptor Giambologna, and at his death passed to his pupil Pietro Tacca. [...]

You have the chance to celebrate your civil wedding in our estate, an intimate and welcoming place. The castle has large indoor and outdoor areas, well suited to organizing a reception: the noble hall, the romantic park, the garden by the pool, and the restored castle cellar. A civil registrar from the municipality of Bagno a Ripoli will be available to conduct the ceremony in our estate. Send us a request. HOW TO REACH US
BY CAR
Motorway exit: Firenze- Sud; take the first exit on the right for Grassina and continue for about 2.5 km. From Grassina continue toward San Polo in Chianti for about 7 km. The estate is on the right, preceded by a driveway of cypresses.
BY TRAIN
The nearest railway station is Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Upon request, we can organize a shuttle service from/to the train station, and Florence and Pisa airport.
